Any Thoughts On WGA.org?
As part of my surprising adherence to my own campaign promises, I’ve created a committee to revamp the WGA website. We’re well into the task, but if you have any suggestions, go ahead and comment. I’m putting a priority on input from members, but non-members actually form the bulk of wga.org visitors, so their thoughts certainly matter as well.
I’d give you some areas to focus on, but I don’t want to lead the witness.

I miss the old WGA format. As an aspiring writer, I found the old format from a few years ago (which was rather informal and welcoming) a refreshing change from the slick DGA or typical producers website. It was welcoming like someone’s homepage rather than some slick corporate thing. Like a friendly door into the buisness with an umbrella open to dry out front, not an imposing glass corporate building. It made me feel like maybe I could make it in this business and writers were nice sorts who would invite you in. So a less corporate look would be nice. Or at least, have one article on the content area with “Welcome new writers click here” type of welcome mat on it going to the mentors section would be nice.
And i’m a naturebookwriter and am making a few nice comments about your site.lothar patten.
